Visitors of the Geneva lake festival were introduced to the homely and authentic offerings of Chapati and Karak – a quaint café concept serving Chapati, a flat bread made cooked in a flat griddle which goes well with Karak, a spiced tea made with ginger, cardamom, milk and sugar. The tradition which came to Qatar half a century ago and has been enjoyed and ingrained in the Gulf’s food culture.
Chapati & Karak’s flagship outlet opened in Doha Qatar on October 2010 while its first branch in London opened in March 2014. The London branch is enjoying tremendous success and is proud to have served on various high profile international events such as Qatar Prix De L’Arc De Triomphe in Paris as well as the Goodwood Festival in London.
This year’s Geneva Summer Festival, the Chapati & Karak Trolley will be serving its unique offerings at the promenade of Hotel President Wilson from 9-14 August 2016.
